Synthetic gemstones aren't something we need to avoid in the trade but rather they can be something we leverage and use to benefit customers (as long as we are honest and know our facts.)

In this podcast episode we take a look at how a ruby the size of a thumb can grow in a lab in hours, so why not underground as well? Conditions in a lab need to duplicate those in nature otherwise the stone wouldn't form.
