Kelly began teaching middle and high school English in 2005. In 2013, wanting a slower life for her family and more autonomy over her time and teaching, Kelly started homeschooling and working as an independent teacher. She leads local creative writing circles, teaches English online, and has recently created an online community for homeschool families called Creative ELA. Inside, families will find ELA unit studies, live classes, free ELA resources, and support. Her website, curiosityencouraged.com, is also a place to find many years' worth of homeschooling and teaching ideas.
