Reiki is a Japanese form of energy healing where practitioners use hands-on healing through which a "universal energy" is transferred from the practitioner's hands to the patient in order to promote healing. 

Reiki is definitely one of the more "woo-woo"  things I've ever learned about - and yet, the more I learn, the more I see science support it (especially quantum physics). And having experienced reiki both as a recipient as well as a practitioner (I'm certified Level II) I can say it is one of the most magical and beautiful tools out there, useful for healing on ALL levels.
