You will hear people telling you to find your “why?”It’s bullshit. There is no “why” inside to find. They will define it as your purpose, passion, and inspiration to take action, and searching for it, in my experience, leads to two sad conclusions:
1) It is so elusive to most that they spend the rest of their life searching for it.
2) It keeps you looking for something too damn specific, that one thing that is unique to you and is so damn enjoyable to wake up to that it doesn’t feel like work.
This paralyzes the human mind. The search for your “why” will actually prevent you from living your passion. I mean, where do you even start to look for this “why?” It is a first-class ticket to disappointment and depression. To give your mind that job, to find your “why” in this world is crazy. And it gives you the perfect excuse not to do anything today, next week, or likely for years as you search for it. It puts you on a never-ending search that feels like a snipe hunt! Take a Listen!
