Trump has been allowed to lie like crazy during the first debate, so why shouldn't he lie like crazy during the second debate? Perception seems to have completely replaced reality in this country and even though Trump made over two dozen completely false statements during the debate, his supporters were convinced he won handily.

According to PolitiFact, Trump has told the truth in his capacity as the president in official Communications approximately 3% of the time. That means 97% of the time he has made statements that were either inaccurate or complete bald-faced lies. There has been no deterrent, no consequences, and his followers do not fact check him and believe him without question even when he makes statements such as the one where he said that Democrats are in favor of murdering newborn babies.

Why restrict yourself to the truth when lying your ass off has absolutely no consequences?
