Many people stay broke due to internal factors (such as bad work ethic, a lack of ambition and more) and external factors (such as poverty, bad economies, negative/toxic environment and etc) so I'd like to just highlight one reason that you wouldn't really think of, but it affects people on a mental scale in a big way.
