I remember being in an appointment with a patient who had already been rescheduled more than once. When the nurse knocked on the door, we both knew why. I took the call from my son’s school where there was a medical concern and knew I'd be rescheduling that patient yet again. I came back to the patient apologetically and he expressed understanding but I still disliked the fact that I had to choose between giving patients quality care and making my family a priority.  That is the beginning of the story.  Tune in for the rest (of the beginning).
