Why The Fed Isn't Likely To Raise Interest Rates.

At two pm eastern time this afternoon, the Federal Open Market Committee will once again announce their decision on interest rates.

The Committee meets 8 times a year. And they are responsible for setting the short term rate for banks and financial institutions around the country.

It is a weighty decision to be sure, because it can set the general monetary conditions throughout the financial system.
