When a people loses its sense of moral dignity and empathy, the foundation of that culture is in peril. The same response occurred the day after 1,200 innocent Israelis were murdered by Hamas terrorists on October 7, 2023. There were celebrations in the streets the world over. Within days, Israel was made the evil monster and Hamas the victim. Already, before Charlie’s funeral, the left is demonizing him and humanizing his killer. Before long, Charlie’s murderer will be given hero status. The killer’s rise to sainthood is already underway. What is the explanation behind this insanity?
