When everything you stand for feels like it's being torn down, the temptation is to step back, soften your convictions, and quit. King David felt it too. Saul was hunting him, and his own friends were telling him to flee to the mountains.

In Psalm 11, David tells us why the righteous don't run: because the Lord still reigns from his throne, because his eyes never leave the silver in the fire, and because one day the upright will behold his face.
