Fernando Tatis Jr. could have been a Chicago White Sox. The White Sox signed him as an international free agent at the age of 16, but nobody knew what he would become at the time. Part of what makes evaluating young players so difficult is that they are still physically developing. Tatis grew physically and became the top prospect in baseball within a few years, and the White Sox are still kicking themselves for trading him for James Shields.
