Unlike Buddhism, Judaism prides itself on not denying the physical pleasures of the world, but rather elevating them for the sake of spiritual ends. Then why on the holiest day of the year, Yom Kippur, are there so many physical restrictions? Shabbat Shalom and a Gmar Chatima Tova and an easy fast to those participating.
