Description:

Dr. Crupain is a multiple Emmy award-winning producer and the Medical Unit Chief of Staff at the Doctor Oz Show. He is a Fellow of the American College of Preventative Medicine, is the Chief Medical Officer for Sharecare, and is faculty at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He attended college at Duke University, medical School at New York Medical College, and finished residency at Johns Hopkins University where he also earned his Master’s in Public Health. Dr. Crupain is somewhat of a renaissance man believing that through media and deliberate communication, we have the power to impact millions. Having dropped out of Neurosurgery Residency, he has worked as Medical Director of the Dr. Oz Show, as the Director of Food Safety and Sustainability Center at Consumer Reports, as the Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs at the medical device start-up Endomedix, and was one of the first on the internet to have his own Video Blog back in 2008 about food, responsible agriculture, animal welfare, and healthy eating. Dr. Crupain is also the author of the new book “What to Eat When” with Dr. Michael Roizen.

In this episode we dive deep covering everything from his path to medicine, the detours he took during the medical education process, his passion for nutrition and overall wellness, and why persistence and putting in the extra effort make the difference.
