Trump resisted banning travel from China.  Trump ignored his own experts and even threatened their jobs to keep them from getting the truth out. When his health advisors were begging for funding for testing and supplies, he refused.  He encouraged armed men to go from state to state and threaten state governments into reopening.  He is forcing schools to reopen which will inevitably kill teachers, parents and even students themselves.

This president has done the absolute opposite of every single thing he should have done from the beginning to fight this pandemic and now we are paying the price with our lives.

*Note - I accidentally forgot to say how many people the US was testing when South Korea was testing over 10,000 of their people per day:  we were testing less than 100.  It probably sounded confusing when I said Fauci warned Trump that this was not enough without actually giving the number.  

By Feb. 26, the U.S. government had tested less than 500 people.  "We're testing everyone we need to test, and we're not seeing a problem,"  Trump said.

It was just one of many, many lies, but what made this lie unique is that he had just found out that the positive test results they were getting could no longer be traced back to any foreign traveler.  They didn't know how they had gotten infected.  This was a clear indication that the virus was spreading out of control.  Trump took the stage and said the opposite, that within a few days the number of cases would be "close to zero."  People were understandably relieved that the outbreak had swiftly dealt with and they could return to their normal routines.

Except it hadn't.

He knew it was spreading out of control and he let us walk right into it.

This was the moment he became a mass murderer.

Between this press conference and March 7th, infections in the U.S. increased 1000-fold.
