Bill discusses venture capitalism and how this relates to Web3. He explains how VC funding in Web3 differs from traditional finance. Bill also shares how Bitcoin may evolve moving forward, as more builders leverage the network for decentralized applications and use cases.  

Amanda discusses the importance of Bitcoin and layer-2 solutions on the network. She also explains what Metagood is doing and how OnChainMonkey is leveraging the Bitcoin network.

Bill Tai has been funding startups as a venture capitalist since 1991. He has had 23 of his seed or early stage projects grow to become publicly listed companies.  His current projects include 3 of the top 10 companies ( Lineage Logistics, Canva and Dapper Labs) selected into the 2022 CNBC “Top Disruptive Companies” list.  He is Zoom Video’s 1st seed backers and catalyst for forming the team to start Canva.  He is among the first backers of ‘unicorns’ Bitfury,  Canva, Color Genomics, Dapper Labs, HUT8 Mining, SafetyCulture Treasure Data and Zoom Video. 

He holds a BSEE with honors from University of Illinois, an MBA from Harvard where he serves on the Board of Advisors to the Dean at Harvard Business School. Bill is also among the catalytic advisors to the UN affiliate Giga Global, bringing broadband connectivity to schools around the world. 

Amanda Terry is an entrepreneur, investor, and community builder with over 20 years of digital media sales and business development leadership experience. She is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Metagood, a pioneering Web3 company building on Bitcoin that launched historic NFT collection OnChainMonkey and Ordinals marketplace Osura.com.

Amanda has a BA from Princeton University in Public Policy and East Asian Studies, and an MBA from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania in Entrepreneurial Management and Finance.
