Vietnam is ascendant! By nearly every metric the country is outperforming its Southeast Asia neighbors, particularly as companies aim to shift manufacturing away from China due to global economic concerns. Because of this, the country has a growing middle class, educated population, and prominence on the world stage. In fact, in many ways, Vietnam could outpace Japan over the next few decades. But this doesn't mean Vietnam is without its own challenges.
