We have been taught that God is too strikes all sinners unless you follow His rules. You need to earn His love in order to qualify to enter heaven. We were taught that God is there and we are here and therefore to get there you have to work HARD. We were not taught about the Father's unconditional love. We don't see God as a Father but as God who is hard to reach. It made it difficult to comprehend the Love of God.
