The Gospel is good news. That literally is what "Gospel" means. But in today's hearing, that word is meaningless. Not because God is dead in a Nietzschean sort of way. No, of course not. It's the power of Christ to transform us and the rest of creation; and it still is. So why is the Gospel as it is preached today of no consequence?
