Kate Steinle was a 32-year-old woman shot and killed by an illegal immigrant while walking with her father in San Francisco. The senseless death has become a rallying cry for enforcing the law when it comes to illegal immigrants who commit felonies. Jose Ines Garcia Zarate, who was wanted for drug crimes and deportation but released thanks to “sanctuary city” laws, was charged with the crime and is now on trial in San Francisco.
