On this week’s episode, we have Gene Bouthiette on the podcast. Gene is part of the DS Racing team and is originally from the western Connecticut area, now located in Massachusetts. Gene’s original passion was hockey, but he has since gone full force into snowmobile racing.

Gene has been racing for the last two seasons in both ADXC and NSCC, and this year he’s making the jump to Semi-Pro. We talk about his journey into snowmobile racing, his time with DS Racing, and everything that’s to come as he takes the next step in his racing career.

With Arctic Cat and Ski-Doo coming out with new motors for cross-country racing, we are extremely excited to see what happens this coming season. After spending years in places that didn’t have much snow because of work, Travis eventually found himself stationed in the mecca of snowmobiling. Not long after, he found a real community within the snowmobile world. Travis started racing later in life, but once he got into it, he became fully invested in every aspect of racing. We talk about his journey, how he found his place in the snowmobile community, and what keeps him coming back for more.
