Stephen tells God's Story in Acts 7 in a very painful way. How so? He confronts the Jewish High Council with their choice to kill the Messiah, and claims that it is in continuity with their ancestors...

All of this begs the question: Which version of God's Story are we telling ourselves? Are we telling a version that requires nothing of us in the present? Or are we boldly embracing the call to mission that we find in the early church? Hmmmmm…
