The great Zig Ziglar knew the power of giving your message away. To paraphrase one of his quotes, he didn’t know how much impact he could make with his talks, but he knew that if someone purchased his tapes then he could change their life.
That’s the beauty of giving away your book as a speaker, but here’s a tactic you might love to use…
The next time you’re invited to speak, give away a bag of your favorite books that are relevant to your topic or industry.
The catch is you need to include your book in the bag of books. It subconsciously puts your book on the same status level and reputation as the rest of the books in the bag.
It’s a tremendously valuable giveaway and it also puts your book in great company for the right person to enjoy. If you’re making an offer to your audience, you can use this as an incentive for the first person or first five people who sign up for your offer.
Be careful though: this might cause a table rush at your next event. I’m pretty sure you’ll be okay with that type of response.
If you’ve ever used this tactic before, giving away a bag of books with your book in it, I’d love to hear your story. Connect with me on social media @keynotecontent to share your story.
