When I found out I was unexpectedly pregnant I SWORE I would not let my identity change. I wanted to keep my body, my life, my relationship and my identity as close to unchanged as possible. I started to frantically prepare for postpartum fearing that I would struggle with postpartum depression / postpartum anxiety. I vowed to do everything in my power to have a beautiful pregnancy, birth and postpartum. And I DID have a beautiful pregnancy, labor and birth - yet here I am on the other side, one month postpartum in the middle of an identity crisis. I feel rage, I feel anxiety, I feel fear. Everything has changed. My body, my life, my relationship, my day to day life, my personality lol. BUT amongst all of that I also feel an immense amount of healing. I know this process is leading me exactly to where and who I am meant to be. BUT GIRL IS IT HARDT lol. anyways I hope you enjoy this episode.. just know if you're struggling that its okay. I am too.
