In the cultural wars of our time there is also the difference between those in the homeland and those in diaspora. One of the biggest differences is language and the use of language. Often it is viewed that those who cannot speak the language or cannot speak it well become second rate in their culture. Although on a biological level this is not exactly true. It does make sense on another level as language is the main lens which allows one to comprehend one’s culture. This is what we discuss in today’s podcast.
