Why you need to Align your Business with the Sustainable Development Goals
In 2016 the UN put forward a set of Sustainable Development Goals which are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.
They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty,, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice. The 17 Goals are all interconnected, and in order to leave no one behind, it is important that we achieve them all by 2030.
Although these goals are not compulsory, the Global goals have been officially adopted by 193 countries and business interest in the SDG’s have been ever increasing.
We must embrace transformation of these goals for a sustainable future. These goals are a call to action to ensure we all prosper whilst protecting the planet. Without a strong vision partnerships between the governments, industries and communities, there is no way that we will meet these goals!
The question isn’t how to implement these goals, it’s when do we start?
