If you want to increase your client base and be able to do music and audio for a living, you need to stop buying more gear.

I know it can be hard to resist, especially when Waves has a sale on every day and their new plugins look cool and interesting. I fall for it sometimes too.

However, buying more gear will not bring you more clients. Buying the latest microphone, plugin, or hardware unit will not help you get more clients and earn more money.

Gone are the days when clients are looking at your gear lists when deciding if they want to work with you.
