Special Need or not: there is something seriously going on that needs to be talked about. The death of George Floyd and what is happening now. Why? Because the news is everywhere. Racism is everywhere. No matter where you live. And in some countries being of color can be downright dangerous. So, talk. Especially if you have an autistic kid that just doesn’t get it that some remarks or behavior is just plain wrong. South Park jokes are really funny. In South Park. But if your kid doesn’t get that he can’t repeat Cartman’s jokes in public, or just doesn’t get that rappers use the N-word in their songs and as a white person he can NEVER say it or sing along - NOW if not ever is the time to educate your kid. This is the time to not excuse it, not to let it go by and maybe even to get angry because it is the only way to get through to your kid. In this episode I’ll give you examples on how to talk to your kid and have some resources to help you.
