What is worry?

To worry is to give way to anxiety or allow one's mind to dwell on difficulty, troubles, and uncertainty whether its over actual or potential problems.

The word worry comes from the Old English wyrgan, which originally meant "strangle," and changed over the years to mean first "harass," and then "cause anxiety to."
