Calling all coffee lovers! This is definitely an episode you want to tune into!
I'm joined by fertility nutrition expert Catherine Chong from catherine.fertilitydietitian who shares with us the latest research into what to be aware of when it comes to caffeine consumption, how much we should aim for, and alternatives to try if we're thinking of having a baby.
In the episode, I mention herbal teas that are currently listed as safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women. The following can be drunk in moderation (no more than 2-3 cups per day):
- ginger
- lemon balm
- linden flower (unless pre-existing cardiac conditions)
- peppermint
- red raspberry leaf (no more than one cup per day in the first three months of pregnancy)
- rosemary
- rose hip
