I am a huge proponent of franchising....when it is done right. All too often, though, it is done wrong.  People focus on the wrong things (i.e. the hottest franchise, or how to make a quick buck, or they assume they know about a franchise when they really don't). You need to be careful when considering franchise options.  You must pay attention to the important things, and forget about all the rest when making a decision to buy.
