5. Why Your Mind Is An Unreliable Narrator with Jay Abbasi
What happens when storytelling and mindfulness meet? Why should you treat your mind like an Incredibles character? And what avocados can teach you about attachment?
Welcome to The Storypowers Podcast, the show about the power of stories, the people who tell them and why you should be doing it too. I’m your host Francisco Mahfuz.
My guest today is Jay Abbasi.
After years of developing training programs for billion-dollar companies like Tesla and Solar City, Jay lost a loved one and saw his life falling to pieces. He found his way out through mindfulness. Now he is a storyteller, speaker and consultant, bringing mindfulness training to major companies as a way to lower costs, reduce stress and increase productivity.
Jay is also a health nut who dislikes avocados, but I have a feeling he’s doing that just to be controversial.
You can find Jay at jayabbasi.me, or follow him on LinkedIn.
If you like the show, please leave us a review, share it and SUBSCRIBE! Your support is very much appreciated. And feel free to send me your comments on what you'd like to hear on future episodes.
I'm a keynote speaker on storytelling, a public speaking coach and author. You can connect with me on LinkedIn, where I post daily (or as close to that as my children will let me), and on storypowers.com. You can also check out my book "Bare: A Guide to Brutally Honest Public Speaking" on Amazon.
