Everyone’s a critic and I noticed that especially with movie goers. When everyone’s standard for what makes a good or bad movie relies on the three act structure and the disney/pixar trope that story is king, it makes me wonder about the future of filmmaking. Are we all being brainwashed to only want what is being force fed. Sadly, what we are being fed is sugar and junk food so no one complains. Is the artistry of filmmaking slowly dying? Maybe, but that doesn’t stop me from trying to search for something more.
