As an entrepreneur, it's easy to prioritize a zillion things before ourselves. We put "me" on the back-burner. Buried behind invoices, running our business, creating content, the list goes on. Let me remind you of the crucial flaw in this mistake. Your business depends on you.

Read that again. Your business depends on Y-O-U. If you're not ok, how can your business be ok? If you're not growing, how do you expect your business to grow?

I was recently in a car accident, and it gave me two things: neck pain and perspective. First hand, I watched how my business completely halted. I physically couldn't look at a computer screen without my head exploding. I couldn't do any admin work, I couldn't create content. I was devastated.

It became painfully obvious to me that until I was up-and-running, my business wasn't up-and-running. So things like going to the chiropractor became a fundamental part of me being able to run my body, therefore run my business. But first I had to prioritize myself.  I had to take a step back and pour time and money into my recovery, which brings us to today's topic: investing!

When it comes to investing there are two main resources we have: time and money. 

Let's talk about the key difference in spending versus investing. The things that are going to make a fundamental difference in you and your business are things without instant gratification. They are often intangible. They are the things that require commitment, belief, and persistence. Things like education, coaching, mentorships, and courses.
