I find a lot of Christian artists have their "go to" topics they write about, but part of what I do in Cultivated is unleash artists to chase after the fullness of the kingdom.
The fullness of Christ.
Christ in the addiction.
Christ at the funeral.
Christ in kindergarten.
Christ at the football game.
Christ in the hospital.
And this song is about exploring a topic we don't sing about in church, or play on Christian radio, or write much as songwriters:
THE END OF THE WORLD.
This song will absolutely hit you hard. I guarantee you haven't heard anything like it.
Pipe Organ.
Distorted Synth Bass.
Boomwhackers.
Mandolins.
Strings.
Harp.

How many songs are you writing about "sticky" subjects? Or perhaps topics that most people won't think are "commercially viable"? Join Cultivated founder Kyle Novy as he uncovers the making of a dark, brooding, haunting song about the end of the world.
