International Bat Appreciation Day is celebrated annually on April 17th to recognize the vital ecological roles bats play, such as pest control, pollination, and seed dispersal. Founded by Bat Conservation International, this day aims to raise awareness about the need for bat conservation and to dispel myths surrounding these flying mammals.
