In 2012 the first African American president seeks re-election in times of unprecedented economic gloom and global uncertainty. The election will be tightly fought and whose outcome will be felt around the world. Will Obama be the first President since FDR to be re-elected in such dire economic circumstances? Can Mitt Romney become the first Mormon occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue? Where will the election be won and lost and what will the result mean for the rest of the world?
