We explore the fundamentals of what would cause China to attack Taiwan. I provide a laundry list of the economic and demographic trends that are driving China towards a war of reunification. Rational minds would argue that China has too much to loose to attack Taiwan... but history has shown that nations wage war even when it is not the rational thing to do... just look at Russia and Ukraine.
