Euthanasia எனப்படும் கருணைக் கொலையை சட்டமாக்குவதற்குத் தனது அரசு 2017ம் ஆண்டில் நாடாளுமன்றத்தில் விவாதிக்கும் என்று விக்டோரிய மாநில Premier, Daniel Andrews கடந்த வருடம் December மாதத்தில் பகிரங்கமாக அறிவித்திருந்தார்.

இந்த விவாதம் ஆஸ்திரேலியாவில் மட்டுமல்ல, உலகின் பல பாகங்களிலும் தற்போது நடக்கிறது. உலகளாவிய வகையில் கருணைக் கொலையை சட்டமாக்க வேண்டும் என்று, தென்னாபிரிக்காவின் முன்னாள் Archbishopம், மனித உரிமைக்காகக் குரல் கொடுப்பவருமான, Desmond Tutu குரல் கொடுக்க ஆரம்பித்துள்ளார்.

இது குறித்து Palliative Care என்ற நோய்த்தணிப்பு நிவாரணத்தை வழங்குபவர்களில் ஒருவரான Dr Suharsha Kanathigoda மற்றும் பல நாடுகளில் பல வருடங்கள் இதய சிகிச்சை வல்லுனராகக் கடமையாற்றிவிட்டு, தற்போது, இருபது வருடங்களுக்கும் மேலாக ஆஸ்திரேலியாவில் இதய சிகிச்சை வல்லுனராகக் கடமையாற்றும் Dr வைரமுத்து மனமோகன் ஆகியோருடைய கருத்துகளுடன் நிகழ்ச்சி படைக்கிறார், குலசேகரம் சஞ்சயன்.

Victoria State Premier, Daniel Andrews, as publicly announced in December last year that he will put Euthanasia on the parliamentary agenda in 2017.  This is not just a local topic.  Former Archbishop of South Africa, and Human Rights proponent, Desmond Tutu has also joined the campaign.
