We are all culprits when it comes to social media and spending hours scrolling through people's Instagram accounts and comparing ourselves to others, but have we ever taken the time to think about our children in this self obsessed, cyber world we live in and how it's going to affect their lives and how they portray themselves? Yes, we are hypocrites when we say how much we HATE social media (as we type on a laptop and upload videos on Instagram), but we are aware of the dangers that come with it and our kids are not. So how do we prepare them for the superficiality of it all, as we know they can't escape it... what ever happened to playing outdoors and not knowing who Kim Kardashian was?
