Will the wealth gap widen as inflation accelerates?

For months financial analysts have expected economic conditions to allow for an interest rate cut. 

But the latest Australian inflation data has all but put paid to that with many now tipping an interest rate hike could be on its way, and with that the wealth gap will continue to widen.
