March 26, 2021Working Class HeroesThis episode focuses on the concepts of work, retirement, creativity, and artistic expression. It is the first episode I’ve produced while in South Korea 🇰🇷 during a 14 day mandatory quarantine. Plenty of time to create, learn, and share ideas. That’s supposing that I manage my time wisely 😆...more46minPlay
March 14, 2021Emotionally MassagedThis episode focuses on my experience with Holo-tropic breath work. I give a short explanation of the practice from a technical standpoint and then dive into my own personal exposure and experience. It’s been a very transformative and positive addition to my journey toward self improvement so I’d highly recommend it to anyone. With that being said there are certain limitations and risks associated with practices such as these and you as an individual have to do your own due diligence as well as consult with yourself internally as to whether or not this is something that your into and that it is right for you to be doing. I say this only as a disclaimer. Even though I fully endorse this practice based on my own experience I can’t speak to how it will effect anyone else. There is also a short story telling segment in this episode, reminiscent of the first episodes where that was the main focus of the podcast. Feel free to reach out and shares your thoughts, feedback, comments, and opinions. If there’s anything that your interested in hearing more or less about let me know. Also if you feel that the general direction of the podcast is working or not give me a shout as well. I’m enjoying this way of approaching the podcast personally because its less dependent of having readily available story based content and more on what’s on my mind at the point in time I record the episodes. Anyway this is getting very meta lol. Thanks for your continued support and participation as listeners! Stay tuned for more from the Will to be Weird....more42minPlay
March 07, 2021Stairway to HeavenThis episode focuses on the the attribution and distribution of value. We as individuals are presented with a choice. Where do we place our value? In people, things, or in the immaterial? I believe that we have the ability to periodically reallocate our base store of value into a variety of places. Whether we choose to spread that value thin over many things or to focus it on a select few or even laser in onto a single thing. This would be best described as a prioritization of value. On a side note, this will also be the first episode available in video format via my YouTube channel. I will include the link below for those of you who want to view the content of this episode that way. https://anchor.fm/josh-cunningman/message...more24minPlay

February 21, 2021A Long Strange TripThis is my first episode back after a six month hiatus. The focus is on the budding rise of the psychedelic mental health industry. Several of the points spoken about are in direct response to an episode of another podcast I follow called “Rebel Wisdom.” The specific episode in question is called “The Rise of Psychedelic Capital.” I strongly recommend you give that episode a listen and also check out the other content by “Rebel Wisdom.” Lastly I want to extend the invitation to my listeners to contribute feedback, stories, or opinions about anything spoken about in this episode. Especially as it relates to psychedelic drugs. https://anchor.fm/josh-cunningman/message - https://rebelwisdom.co.uk/...more26minPlay

June 05, 2020“Don’t look I’m naked!” Part 1This episode is part one in a two part series investigating nakedness and vulnerability both psychologically and physically. Part one discusses primarily the psychological aspects while in part 2 the investigation culminates in the discussion of the physical. By this attempt to put my understanding of these concepts into words the degree to which I truly understand them is actively being challenged. Lots to learn on my part and I hope it will be equally as enlightening for you as well. Stay tuned for part 2 coming soon......more42minPlay
May 31, 2020Dolphin styleThis episode focuses on the work of John C Lilly, a psychonaut whom I admire for his exploration of the limit of the mind. I hope to separate the controversy from the aspects of Lilly’s work which of great value in my opinion. Also included is a short story of a weird experience I recalled recently. Before concluding the episodes there is a brief section which promotes my priority on expression of truth as it relates to pertinent social issues as well as my views and opinions of those specific issues. www.johnclilly.com www.afflictor.com/tag/John-c-Lilly/ www.medium.com/predict/John-c-Lilly-the-mad-scientist-who-gave-lsd-to-dolphins-e2b7e41e3d6f...more33minPlay
