The general public does not care. Most politicians do not care. However, the U.S. is quickly heading toward financial collapse. The absurdly bloated U.S. Government continues to print and spend dollars it does not have. Fiat currency can end a nation. At some point a choice must be made before the interest on the debt is too big to pay. Then the country either slashes spending dramatically across the board or tries to print it's way out of debt further escalating the problem. Hope and pray collapse does not happen. For now, neither the people nor the politicians seem interested in stopping a debt bomb ready to explode sooner than people realize.
