‘If there’s one man responsible for the rise of the Australian coffee culture it’s Will Young from Campos’. He founded Campos in 1997 and since then has grown the company to one of the most recognisable brands in Australia. Starting from a humble café in Newtown, he fought off the influx of Starbucks to drive his ideal of the coffee culture and he’s now expanded to the US. He is taking the battle on behalf of Australian coffee culture to America.

He’s also driving an initiative in which he has set a coffee bean price “floor” i.e. if the global prices of coffee drop, he still pays his farmers a minimum even at the cost of Campos’ profit. He’s a great chat and the chairman of the “Cup of Excellence” which upholds the standards of specialty coffee across the globe.
