Monmouth and Independence join with Western Oregon University to push for a Mid-Willamette Valley Trolley. Every 10 minutes, the proposed trolley (a bus) would carry passengers on a circuit through the adjoining towns and the Western Oregon campus. Guests include Shawn Irvine, economic development director for the city of Independence; and Anna Karaman, a vice president at Western Oregon.
