Willard adds oversight with new door-to-door solicitation rules

Door-to-door solicitors in Willard will now need to reapply for a license every seven days under a newly adopted rule aimed at strengthening oversight of transient and short-term sales operations. The Willard City Council approved the updated regulations during its June 12 meeting, revising the city’s existing rules to formalize license expiration and create a more structured process for revoking or denying a license. Under the new rule, all solicitor, transient merchant, and peddler licenses now automatically expire seven calendar days after issuance.
