The Willard City Council voted unanimously Thursday to appoint Councilmember Mike Braegger as mayor pro tem while Mayor Travis Mote serves a temporary out-of-state assignment. Mote told the council he will be working in Maine through July but will return periodically. Braegger will preside over meetings and perform mayoral duties when Mote is unavailable. The appointment was approved without opposition.
