Willard City’s Public Works Department has launched several spring maintenance projects, Public Works Director Payden Vine told the city council during its April 24 meeting. Vine said a new sprinkler system has been installed at the city baseball field, and old broken irrigation lines have been capped off. He also reported that seasonal mowing is now underway at city parks. In addition, crews have begun repairing winter-related street damage. “We’re also starting to patch some of the potholes and rough spots that opened up over the winter,” he said.
