Attention then turns to Friday's action, with Rod Harrington offering his thoughts on three of the second round games before we try to find the best bets on a 1/33 to win Michael van Gerwen as he prepares to take on James Wilson.

Australia's number one, Simon Whitlock, might not have been at his best on Wednesday evening but he's safely through to round two of the William Hill World Darts Championship and Dan Dawson caught up with the Wizard at the Ally Pally.

Justin Pipe also progressed, but had to survive two match darts to do so and he spoke to Tungsten Tales following his tense encounter.

Attention then turns to Thursday's action, with Chris Mason offering his predictions for night nine, including Peter Wright's first match of this year's tournament.

In yet another first round shock at this year's William Hill World Darts Championship, Kevin Munch dumped two-time World Champion Adrian Lewis out of the competition on Tuesday night. 

There were no such dramas for Raymond van Barneveld, as he sailed through in straight sets, and Dan Dawson caught up with five-time World Champion on the back of his victory.

We then turn our attention to Wednesday's action, with Rod Harrington and Chris Mason offering their predictions for night eight.

Paul Lim stole the show on day five the William Hill World Darts Championship as the 63-year-old defeated former Lakeside Champion Mark Webster on Monday night.

Dan Dawson caught up with the man who famously hit the first nine-dart leg in a World Championship back in 1990 to see how his first round heroics of this year's tournament compared.
