Willie Davenport - The First Black Athlete to Compete at the Winter Olympic Games

In 1980, Willie Davenport became the first Black athlete to compete at the Winter Olympic Games. Along with competing in the 110m Hurdles in 4 consecutive Olympics from 1964 to 1976, he also became the first Black athlete to compete in both the Summer and Winter Olympics.
