This week, Ally and Jamie sit down with country artist Willie Shaw. Tune in to hear an acoustic performance of Willie's single, "Moonlight Memories," and to learn more about his brand new track "Roll the Dice," the impact he hopes to make through his music, the story behind loved-up song "Ring In My Pocket" and more!
About Willie:
Hailing from Orange County, Willie first identified the potential of music at home. Possessing an impressive voice of her own, mom sang backups during sessions at the famed Capitol Records studio in Los Angeles. Attending William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA, he played baseball at the college level in addition to writing and performing. Beyond regular gigs at the student lodge, he busked in colonial Williamsburg. Upon graduation, he picked up and moved to Nashville. By day, he held down an accounting gig for NASA. At night, he devoted countless hours to songwriting.
In the end, Willie Shaw might just make you realize something about yourself as he soundtracks his journey (and yours). He continues to expand his fanbase via TikTok where he was included in their emerging artists playlist for his previous single “Needed Somebody”. Shaw has opened for acts such as Old Dominion, Brantley Gilbert, Train, Rick Springfield, REO Speedwagon and others.
